Project Management: Perspective, Planning and Implementation
Class-based Short Course (Module Alpha)
This course is open to anyone who is interested in acquiring essential knowledge and skills in project management (provided admission requirements are met: please see the Cranefield Prospectus (PDF) for details). If organisations are successfully to move away from bureaucratic practices towards being learning organisations, it is imperative for all persons, from the CEO through to every functional team member, to have a clear perspective and understanding of essential project management principles and techniques.
The contents of Module Alpha deal largely with project management principles, tools and techniques as applied in practice and illustrated in the various areas of the "Project Management Body of Knowledge" (PMBOK) of the Project Management Institute.
The class-based Module Alpha is offered four times per annum in Gauteng, and is also offered in-house to organisations (in the form of focused seminars), tailored to their needs, by special arrangement. Please enquire at the main administrative office. Module Alpha is the first module of the Advanced Diploma learning programme, but may also be taken as a separate course (leading to a certificate). The course is also available through distance learning.
