Master of Commerce in Project Management

MComPM(Cranefield)

The Advanced and Postgraduate Diplomas in effect constitute steps 1 and 2 of the Master's Degree programme. (For alternative requirements for direct entry to the MComPM programme, please see the full Cranefield Prospectus or contact the administration.) The Master’s Degree learning programme consists of four modules. The MComPM(Cranefield) is accredited at NQF level 8 (new NQF level 9), with 240 credits.

As in the case of the aforementioned Diploma programmes, there are also three full days of lectures per module (except in the case of M10), spread evenly over the three months' duration of each module for the Master's programme. Please see the Academic Calendars (in the menu to the left) for the timeslots for the following modules:

M7: "Leadership and Management Research Methodology"

M8: "Strategic Value Chain Management"

M9: "Advanced Cases in Leading and Managing the Learning Organisation"

M10: "Work-context Dissertation": a dissertation of limited scope, which investigates a problem-based situation in the student's work environment.

It is also compulsory for students to have passed module ME: "Professional English: Effective Writing and Speaking" before starting their dissertations.

The Master's programme usually takes two to three years to complete, depending on the candidate's progress with his or her dissertation. Note that final submission dates for dissertations are 1 June (for September graduation) and 1 December (for March graduation). For further details regarding the MComPM learning programme, please consult the full Cranefield Prospectus (PDF).
