CRANEFIELD NEWSLETTER: CAPE TOWN - JANUARY 2011
This newsletter serves as a friendly reminder that the Advanced Diploma in Project and Programme Management course commences at the Old Mutual Business School campus in Pinelands, Cape Town on 1st, 2nd and 3rd March, 2011, starting with module M-Alpha. Module M1 will follow module M-Alpha. The Postgraduate Diploma in Project and Programme Management course commences at the same venue on 12th April, 2011, starting with module M5. Note that the Postgraduate Diploma commences with module M5 this year. Old Mutual employees should pay particular attention to the information in the paragraph entitled “General Comments”.
Advanced Diploma in Project and Programme Management
Note that module M-Alpha entitled: ”Project Management: Perspective, Planning and Implementation” is completed in three consecutive days. An examination assignment for module M-Alpha must be submitted on the first contact day of module M1. As you are aware the Advanced Diploma consists of four modules, including module M-Alpha. Candidates who completed an equivalent course in their previous academic qualifications can apply for exemption for module M-Alpha.
Module M1 entitled: ”Project Management: Leading, Creating, Implementing and Improving” commences on 12th April, while the second and third contact days are scheduled for 10th May and 14th June.
Module M2 entitled: ”Programme Managing Organisational Performance and Innovative Improvement” commences on 19th July, while the second and third contact days are scheduled for 16th August and 13th September.
Module M3 entitled: ”Organisational Quality and Performance Management” commences on 17th October, while the second and third contact days are scheduled for 8th November and 29th November.
Postgraduate Diploma in Project and Programme Management
The Postgraduate Diploma dates can be found on the Cranefield website www.cranefield.ac.za. For convenience it is repeated here that module M5 commences on 12th April, while the second and third contact days are scheduled for 10th May and 14th June. This is followed by module M4 in July and module M6 in October. The “Professional English Skills” (module ME) forms part of the Postgraduate Diploma and is offered web-based.

Kindly forward this information to colleagues and friends. Your HR department would be particularly interested in this information. Since Cranefield is an accredited and registered academic institution, up to 70% of the fees paid towards our courses can be recovered from your organisation's SETA.
